Bronchiolitis Awareness Campaign Case Study
Effective communication with parents about childhood illnesses and infections is vital - and when done effectively, could save lives.
When the Abbot approached us to raise awareness of the respiratory condition Bronchiolitis, which affects one in three babies in their first year, we created a kids' marketing campaign that received extensive media coverage and got the key messages across.
The all-encompassing kids' marketing strategy included creating website content that offered support to parents and further information for healthcare professionals.
More than a Cold helps parents identify symptoms and offers case studies from parents whose children had experienced bronchiolitis to illustrate the condition.
We also established partnerships with the British Lung Foundation, Bliss, TAMBA, and researched awareness levels via The Baby.
Working with consultant paediatrician Dr Su Laurent as a spokesperson for the campaign, we delivered a series of media days and provided expert advice.
We captured footage of a busy ward and made this available as a b-roll which was used on national TV.
As well as the campaign featuring extensively in the local, regional and national press, we secured coverage in parenting print and online press.
